The upcoming holiday-shortened week will see a comparatively muted period for corporate actions, as around 10 companies have fixed their record dates for bonus issues and dividends between September 28 (Monday) to October 1 (Thursday).The Indian stock market will remain closed on October 2 (Friday) on account of Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti.

Later this month, BSE and NSE will also remain shut on October 20 to celebrate Dussehra.Investors must hold shares of these companies in their demat accounts on the respective record dates to be eligible for the announced corporate actions.

The list remains tentative, as more companies may announce record dates for dividends, bonus issues and stock splits during the week.Here is a day-wise list of corporate actions to watch out for in the upcoming week.September 28 (Monday)Aastha Spintex has fixed Monday as the record date for its bonus issue in the ratio of 1:1.

This means that shareholders will get one bonus share for every one share held in the company as on the record date, while the value of each of these shares will reduce to adjust to the bonus issue.A bonus issue consists of free shares distributed by a company from its reserves and is often seen as a sign of strong financial health and growth prospects. While the issue of bonus shares increases the total number of outstanding shares, it does not change the company’s market capitalisation.

However, it can improve liquidity and affordability, allowing more investors to add shares of the company to their portfolio.This comes after Aastha Spintex shares listed at a discount of more than 4% over IPO price at Rs 130 apiece on July 6, as against its issue price of Rs 136. The Rs 170-crore initial public offering (IPO) of the company which was open between June 29 and July 1, witnessed an overall subscription of 4.64 times.

The NII portion saw the strongest interest, attracting 7.62 times subscription, while QIBs subscribed 3.30 times and the retail quota was booked 2.33 times.September 29 (Tuesday)Leo Dryfruits & Spices Trading has fixed Tuesday as the record date for its final dividend worth Rs 0.5 per share. The metals major has declared 33 dividends since January, 2005, according to data on Trendlyne. The shares of the company have gained over 4% in one week and around 25% in 2026 so far.

In the longer term, the metals major has delivered around 99% returns over three years and more than 71% in five years.Saraswati Saree Depot meanwhile will pay an interim dividend of Rs 3 per share, with Wednesday being fixed as the record date to determine the eligibility of shareholders.October 1 (Thursday)Indraprastha Gas (IGL) shares will turn ex-record date for a final dividend of Rs 1.5 per share on Thursday.

Other companies that have fixed Thursday as the record date for their respective dividends include R Systems International (Rs 8 per share), Goenka Business & Finance (Rs 0.5 per share) and Sainik Finance & Industries (Rs 0.5 per share).Maestro Electronics & Telecommunications Systems meanwhile have fixed Thursday as the record date for a 1:1 bonus issue, while Natco Pharma will turn ex-record date for a rights issue.Also read | $500 billion flywheel!
