Indian equity benchmarks ended higher in the final trading session of the week, although gains remained capped as volatile crude prices and elevated bond yields continued to weigh on the market.The Nifty 50 settled at 23,140.50, gaining 77.40 points, or 0.34%. The Sensex advanced 315.20 points, or 0.43%, to close at 73,895.74.The broader market remained mixed.

The NSE Nifty Midcap 100 slipped 0.14%, while the Nifty Smallcap 100 managed to eke out a gain of 0.15%.Market volatility eased during the session, with the India VIX, a gauge of market volatility, declining 4% to close at 12.18.Sectoral performance was mixed.

The Nifty Auto and Nifty Consumer Durables indices gained nearly 1% each, while the Nifty IT and Nifty Pharma indices were among those that ended in the red.Market breadth on the NSE was positive, with 1,925 stocks advancing against 1,594 declines, while 128 stocks closed unchanged.ALSO READ: $500 billion flywheel!

The RSI has turned bearish on the weekly chart, indicating continued downside momentum. On the downside, 23,000 remains the immediate support, followed by 22,700. On the higher end, 23,200–23,300 is the immediate resistance zone.
